Grand Seiko SBGA029 Spring Drive Diver Watch

For those wanting a simple-looking but very unusual high-end dive timepiece, it is easy to endorse something similar to the Grand Seiko SBGA029 "Spring Drive Diver." It goes without proverb that most watch writers have much adoration for Seiko. Not like many other brands out there that put great determinations into wooing watch media, Seiko is comparatively straightforward with how they hold the media. Certainly, Seiko is well-mannered, but their approach is mostly to simply share with us what they are doing and hope that plenty of us "get" them in a satisfactory manner to echo their glories and praise their good value.

On the other hand, associating Seiko to other brands is hard. This is wherever the "Japanese versus European" advices start to come in, where watch lovers take one of two verges of the argument protecting or complaining about the idea of spending a large sum of money on a luxury Japanese merchandise. Pretty much everybody has positive stuffs to say about Seiko, and mainly the much more high-end Grand Seiko models. With that believed, not everybody is eager to buy one.

The fact is that high-end Japanese timepieces exist in their own world, have their own ideals, and while they do most of the same things as European luxury timepieces, they don't quite exist in the same tiny universe. It is hard to give details, and possibly one of our audience members can put it into better arguments, but I really feel like to be a well-rounded watch lover you need to have affection for both high-end Japanese and European wristwatches. How does this all connect to the Grand Seiko SBGA029 Spring Drive Diver timepiece?

It has to do with in what way I describe the watch. The Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver SBGA029 is without doubt a high-end watch, and it is more timepiece than most people need, but is it a luxury product in the same means that Swiss watches are? Is the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver SBGA029 the type of chronometer that can live right following to a Rolex Submariner, or is it a comparable type of product that came to market with a totally different idea? I would in my view argue for the later.

Seiko (particularly) has a very grave relationship with high-end dive timepieces, and the company produces no lack of them each year. The Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver SBGA029 isn't even that latest of a model, but it still sparkles as one of the best-rounded luxury Japanese (or other) knock off watch (s) around.
